Jimmy Houston has joined fellow bass-fishing icons Bill Dance and Roland Martin in promoting Booyah Bait Company. Houston's the new kid on the block when it comes to Booyah, but he's been affiliated with Booyah's parent company, Pradco-Fishing, for over 30 years. It sounds like Booyah's spinnerbait offerings will be his primary focus.
"Booyah baits are loaded with features that truly separate them from ordinary spinnerbaits," Houston said. "The head shape makes them very difficult to hang, even in heavy cover, and the red eyes and gillplates are important for attracting strikes. I'm also really excited about the Leverage hook system that's part of many of the spinnerbaits and the Boogee Bait. With that single feature, most fishermen will land far more of the fish than they otherwise would."
He's currently working with Booyah to develop a signature line of spinnerbaits designed to his specifications. "From blade configurations, to skirt colors, to the Leverage hook system, these baits are going to be special," he said.
